Young animals cost less but need time to grow up before they start producing. Mature animals cost more but are ready to work right away. Breedable species are bought as ♀ female or ♂ male — own a grown pair of the same species and tap 💗 Breed on the female to get newborns after her gestation period.
Every animal has its own cycle: feed it, wait out its work cycle, then collect. Skip a feeding for too long and it starts to starve; a missed sickness check can also stop it producing until treated. Young animals need one growth period before they start producing at all.
