Time on Site counts only while you are actively taking part: quiz, Quiz Farming, the Creator section, uploading videos and other eligible activities. Leaving Vidio open and idle does not count.
Your Creator Rate comes from the Correct Answers you had at the end of last month. Creator Rate × Time on Site = your Vidio Balance.
When you request a payout you are first paid a percentage that depends on the Correct Answers you had at the end of last month. The rest stays yours as leftover, and your Time on Site releases it.
A fee (currently 45%) is taken from your Vidio Balance when it is released to you. The balance you see is the full amount before the fee.
Your Vidio Balance is paid with the monthly payouts, up to your leftover. Only the Time on Site that was paid starts again from zero. The Time on Site graph keeps counting.
You must request a payout in the 21st–26th window to be paid your Vidio Balance. A request needs at least US$100 available. If you do not request, you get no payout and no Time on Site that month, and your Time on Site carries over to the next payout you qualify for.
