Vidio pays you in two ways. Your Available Balance is the money you have earned, and you can request it once it reaches the payout minimum. Your Vidio Balance is a separate amount you build by spending active time on Vidio. This guide explains both, step by step.
Time on Site is the time you spend actively taking part on Vidio. It counts while you are:
If you stop and are not doing anything eligible, the timer stops. Leaving Vidio open while you are inactive does not add Time on Site.
Which month counts? Your Creator Rate and your payout percentage use the Correct Answers you had at the end of last month. Answers you give this month count from next month's payout.
Your total Correct Answers set your Creator Rate, the amount you can earn for each hour of Time on Site:
| Correct Answers | Creator Rate |
|---|---|
| 1,000+ | UGX 500/hour |
| 10,000+ | UGX 1,000/hour |
| 25,000+ | UGX 3,000/hour |
| 50,000+ | UGX 7,000/hour |
| 100,000+ | UGX 9,000/hour |
| 1,000,000+ | UGX 11,000/hour |
| 10,000,000+ | UGX 20,000/hour |
| 100,000,000+ | UGX 50,000/hour |
Your Vidio Balance is Creator Rate × Time on Site. For example, with a Creator Rate of UGX 9,000 per hour and 5 hours of Time on Site, your Vidio Balance for the month is UGX 45,000.
You can request a payout from your Available Balance once it reaches the minimum, which is the equivalent of US$100 (the exchange rate is set by Vidio and can change), and only during the payout window, between the 21st and 26th of the month. The US$100 is only a minimum. It is not a fee, and your earnings are not divided among other users.
When you request a payout, you are first paid a percentage of that money. The percentage depends on your total Correct Answers, and it is paid again on every new payout request:
| Level | Correct Answers | Paid on each request |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze Lite | 1,000+ | 0.5% |
| Bronze Origin | 5,000+ | 1% |
| Silver Lite | 10,000+ | 3% |
| Silver Original | 25,000+ | 5% |
| Gold Lite | 50,000+ | 7% |
| Gold Original | 100,000+ | 9% |
| Platinum | 1,000,000+ | 11% |
| Diamond | 10,000,000+ | 13% |
| Crown | 100,000,000+ | 15% |
The part of your payout that is not paid right away stays in your account as your leftover. It is already yours. It is not lost and it does not expire.
Your Time on Site releases the leftover. Once a month, with the payouts between the 21st and 26th, your Vidio Balance (Creator Rate × Time on Site) is paid out of your leftover. A few things to know:
Payments are sent to the payment method you registered in your wallet, such as Mobile Money. Rates, percentages and rules may change, and payouts are subject to the Terms and the Monetization Policy.
What is Time on Site?
The time you spend actively taking part on Vidio: answering quiz questions, Quiz Farming, using the Creator section, uploading videos and other eligible activities. Leaving Vidio open while you do nothing does not count.
How is Vidio Balance calculated?
Creator Rate multiplied by Time on Site. Your Creator Rate depends on your total Correct Answers.
Do I need US$100 to be paid my Vidio Balance?
Yes, in the month you are paid. Vidio Balance is only paid to members who request a payout that month, and a payout request needs an Available Balance of at least US$100. If you do not reach US$100 and request, you receive neither a payout nor Time on Site that month. Your unpaid Time on Site carries over to the next payout you qualify for.
What is the leftover?
When you request a payout you are first paid a percentage set by your Correct Answers. The rest stays in your account as leftover. It is already yours, and your Time on Site releases it over time.
When is Vidio Balance paid?
With the monthly payouts, between the 21st and 26th of each month, and only if you requested a payout in that window.
Does Time on Site start again after I am paid?
Only the Time on Site that was paid starts again from zero. If you were not paid that month, your Time on Site carries over. The Time on Site graph on your dashboard keeps counting your total.
Are payouts guaranteed?
No. Rates, percentages and rules can change, and payouts are subject to the Terms and the Monetization Policy.
